Kids & Families

South Rim

The national parks love kids and offer Junior Ranger activities, special hikes, and Ranger programs. Check at The Canyon View Information Plaza, Vercamps Visitor Center, Yavapai Observation Station, and Tusayan Museum.

North Rim

Like the South Rim, the north side of the park offers Ranger programs and activities of all ages. Best of all, herd the family on one of the easy rim side hikes for views no one will forget.

Flagstaff & Around

You'll find plenty of kid-loving action at the programs at Lowell Observatory, the free-flying bird shows at Arboretum at Flagstaff, and outdoor adventure on the trails in the Coconino National Forest.
