Lowell Observatory

Sun and stars up close

Get goggle-eye views of the sun through the solar observatory and close-ups of the planets during evening programs. During the day join hourly tours from 1–4 pm, see multimedia shows, and learn about the amazing universe in the Steele Visitor Center. Family-oriented evening programs view the stars and show a 42-min. Discovery Channel program on cutting edge discoveries by the observatory. Special programs include first-Wed. guest speakers, Friday Science Night, Winter Star Fest, and showings of a 3D Mars movie.
