Grand Canyon Railway
Ride the rails
The fun starts on the GCRW with an outlaw shootout every morning at 9 a.m. Then relax and ride the rails in style for 2 hours, 15 minutes with onboard cowboy entertainment and snacks. The train departs at 9:30 a.m. and arrives at the GC at 11:45 a.m. Rates vary from Pullman to Observation Dome and Luxury Parlor. Diesel engines run all year and the steam engine about six times a year.
Connect with a bus tour of the South Rim or stroll along the rim viewpoints and return the same day (leave the Rim 3:30, arrive in Williams 5:45 p.m.), or stay a few days at a rim-side hotel. Packages include lodging and meals at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel and Grand Canyon Railway RV park and bus tours. The Polar Express and other seasonally-themed trains add to the family fun. Hotel and depot located in the center of town one-block north of old Rt. 66.
