The place to stroll in a meadow of alpine flowers without climbing a mountain. At 7,150 ft. elev., the 200-acre botanical garden presents the 2,500 species of Northern Arizona plants in demo gardens and along a one-mile nature trail.

Free garden tours 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; birdwatching walk 7:30–9 a.m. May–July; free educational Airborne Raptors program with free-flying rehabilitated birds, 12 and 2 p.m.; summer concerts 5:30 p.m. May–Sept.; seasonal festivals, and picnic areas with views of San Francisco Peaks.
