Sacred Valley Towns
The Inca knew what they were doing when they made the Sacred Valley the base of their empire. The weather is lovely most of the year and everything grows here, which means the food is fantastic.
You can find everything from rustic towns where people live in adobe homes without running water, and to modern towns full of boutique hotels and ecolodges.
Some of the towns below have minor archeological sites, like Chinchero and Urubamba. Others have major sites that are in the Sacred Valley Archeology category, like Pisac and Ollantaytambo.
