Museums

Japan is home to a huge range of museums. While there is a cluster of traditional-style national museums in Ueno in Tōkyō, if you have a specific interest, you’re bound to be able to find a museum based on that interest somewhere in Japan.

The Sapporo Beer Museum is always popular, as is the Ramen Museum in Yokohama.

There’s the International Manga Museum in Kyōto, the Japanese Sword Museum in Tōkyō, the Taga Fertility Shrine & Sex Museum in Uwajima on Shikoku, and even the TOTO Toilet Museum in Kita-kyūshū.
