Pinegrove Camppground

Located 19 miles southeast of Flagstaff on Lake Mary Rd. (Forest Rd. 3) in the Lake Mary Recreation Corridor, this heavily used campground has 46 sites; 16 are fully handicap-accessible and 24 can be reserved on Recreation.gov 877-444-6777. Sites have tables, grills, tent pads, water; flush toilets, coin operated showers, and a RV dump station are available but no hookups. Trailers up to 33 feet and motor homes to 45 feet are permitted. Boat ramp and handicapped access for fishing available at Lake Mary Narrows.

Two other USFS lakeside campgrounds in the Lake Mary Corridor have similar facilities: see Canyon Vista and Lakeview. Three more campgrounds are located 20-24 miles from Flagstaff on Lake Mary Road near Mormon Lake: Ashurst Lake–Forked Pine (35°01'10.1"N; 111°24'31.1"W), Dairy Springs (34°57'22.4"N 111°28'55.5"W), and Double Springs (34°56'32.6"N 111°29'36.9"W). See map. Primitive (dispersed) camping is permitted in many areas in the national forests. Some areas allow open camping while others allow camping only in designated campsites.
