Located a 1/2-mile walk or drive from Upper Lake Mary in the Lake Mary Recreation Corridor, this hillside campground offers sites with tent pads, tables, grills, and water. Surrounded by old-growth ponderosa pines, it’s popular for day use for picning, birdwatching, and wildlife viewing along the lake, which is stocked with bass, catfish, and trout for fishing. No limit on power boats allows skiiing.

Directions: 13 miles from I-17 south-east of Flagstaff on Lake Mary Road (Forest Rd.3).

Two other USFS lakeside campgrounds in the Lake Mary Recreation Corridor have similar facilities: see Canyon Vista Campground and Pinegrove.

Four more campgrounds are located 20-24 miles from Flagstaff on Lake Mary Road near Mormon Lake: Ashurst Lake–Forked Pine (35°01’10.1″N; 111°24’31.1″W), Dairy Springs (34°57’22.4″N 111°28’55.5″W), and Double Springs (34°56’32.6″N 111°29’36.9″W). Some areas allow open camping while others allow camping only in designated campsites.
