Lima Archeology

Caral

Unless you’re in Peru for the archeology, I would suggest visiting just Puruchuco and Mateo Salado in Lima. If you have time, and are into archeology, then you really have to see Caral, even though it’s about three hours north of Lima.

Below is a list of other archeological sites in or near the city of Lima with opening times, though these can be subject to change, so always double check their website.

• Pucllana is in Miraflores. Open Mon, Wed, Fri-Sun 9am-4pm.

• Huallamarca is in the San Isidro neighborhood of Lima. Open Tues, Thurs, Sat 10am-3pm.

• Huaca Garagay is in the northern part of the city, north of the airport. Open every day 9am-5pm.
