Puruchuco

Inca admin

This site was built by the Inca as an administrative center for their conquered lands along the coast in what is now Lima. It was only used from 1438–1533 but that was long enough to build a very impressive complex.

The site also has one of the largest Inca cemeteries, where archeologists are still hard at work examining tombs that escaped looting.
