Bikes & Cycling

Pedal power on the islands

Rarotonga

It’s only 32km around Rarotonga, easily achieved on a rental bicycle. The road around the outside of the island is flat, so if bicycles are you’re thing, go for it. Take heat and humidity into account when making your plans though. Our Rarotonga In-A-Day makes a suggestion of how you might explore.

Many accommodation places have bicycles for guests to use or hire, but there are also a number of rental companies:

Ride Rarotonga - cruising, mountain, road and e-bikes; delivery and pick-up anywhere on Rarotonga.

Tiki e-tours - e-bikes.

Pacific Rentals - e-bikes (Muri).

Aitutaki

Ask about rental bicycles where you are staying on Aitutaki. Many places have bicycles for guests to use - and if they don’t, they’ll easily arrange a bicycle for you.
