Be careful with accommodation bookings – if you flew from NZ or Australia, you are likely to arrive in the Cook Islands the day before you left.
Language
While locals speak Cook Islands Maori, virtually everybody also speaks English.
Electricity
As in NZ & Australia - 240AC, 50HZ - with three-blade plugs.
Weights & Measures
The Cook Islands use the metric system.
Sundays
Locals dedicate Sundays to church, family and rest. Many restaurants, cafes and bars will be closed.
