The jungle through the eyes of scientists

Wish you could do more to save the rainforest? When you come to Peru, consider staying at a research station! This is the best way to directly support the scientists who are doing conservation work and research to save the Amazon.
The best jungle lodge and research station combo is the Tambopata Research Center, one of the Rainforest Expeditions lodges. Research teams are doing conservation work to help macaw nesting, studying eight species of monkeys, and documenting new moth species.
My favorite group of research stations is Amazon Conservation (ACCA). They have three lodges that welcome tourists at three different places in the Peruvian rainforest in Madre de Dios.
