Lima Restaurants

Ceviche

Lima is best known for cuisine, increasingly so as Peruvian restaurants continue to pop up around the globe. The best tend to be in the neighborhoods of Miraflores, Barranco, San Isidro and Lima’s historic center.

Lima restaurants that year after year are rated in the Best 50 Restaurants in the World are Central, Kjolle, Maido, Mayta, Mérito and Rafael. Other top restaurants are La Mar, Osso and Astrid y Gaston. You will need to plan well in advance to get a reservation at any of these. However, some are open for lunch when it’s easier to find a table.

Lima is also full of restaurants vying to make it on the Best 50 list some day. Just because a restaurant doesn’t have any awards yet doesn’t mean it’s not fantastic.

For dinner, look for highly rated restaurants on Google Maps that are close to your hotel. Lima traffic is a headache in the evening, so minimize the time you spend trying to get somewhere. With so many amazing restaurants, there’s likely a hidden gem near you.
