Seven Stories

The National Centre for children's books (l; £)

Located on Lime Street in the Ouseburn Valley this is the National Centre for Children's Books. Seven Stories is a museum and visitor centre dedicated to literature for children.

Housed on seven levels, hence seven stories; in a former Victorian mill there is always plenty to do e.g. exhibitions, engaging storytellers, visiting authors not to mention fun activities.

On the ground floor there is an excellent café serving light snacks such as soup and sandwiches. The cafe is free to enter - just tell the staff on reception and they will provide a sticker to enable you to use this facility.
