Cycling & Mountain Biking

Foss / Dad rippin it up

Recreational peddle power is extremely popular in New Zealand, whether that be road cycling, off-road mountain biking or the increasingly popular e-bikes.

Mountain biking

DoC also has a number of top mountain biking trails throughout the country.

Ngā Haerenga New Zealand Cycle Trails has a network of 22 Great Rides throughout the country for those interested in seeing New Zealand by bicycle. Use their routes and maps to tour the length and breadth of the country.
