Coronet Peak

Snow sports & mountain biking

Coronet Peak July 2011

Coronet Peak opened in 1947 as NZ’s first commercial skifield and has been keeping visitors happy ever since. 16km and only a 20-minute drive from downtown Queenstown, it now has two seasons, winter sports covered from June to early October, with some lifts running for mountain biking and sightseeing over summer.

In winter, Coronet Peak offers a variety of terrain for skiers and snowboarders of any ability, lessons, equipment hire and bus transfers from town. Night Ski lights it up the mountain 4-9pm every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night.
