Queenstown
Queenstown is a special spot on this planet and shouldn’t be missed. That may mean that you have to share it with quite a few others, depending upon when you turn up. Some arrive and never want to leave.
This year-round alpine resort attracts snow sports junkies in winter and all sorts the rest of the year. Labelled ‘the adventure capital of the world’, this is where bungy jumping was born and where just about any outdoor adventure goes. Think adventures connected to mountains, lakes, rivers, canyons and even the sky.
It’s not all about throwing yourself out of a plane or floating downstream in white water though. There’s an incredible array of restaurants, cafes and bars, and winery cellar doors aren’t too far away. The options are almost endless.
