Freedom Trail

The route of independence

Freedom trail sign

America’s independence from Britain and the creation of the US Constitution stand as pivotal historic moments that still globally today.

The Freedom Trail links 16 key locations of the American Revolution along a brick path, which is not just historically enriching but a pleasant journey through Boston’s core. Along it are the Old State House, Paul Revere’s House, and Faneuil Hall.

Guided tours offer historical fact mingled with theatrical elan while a self-led one offers more opportunities to explore.
