Mexico City In-A-Day

A whirlwind tour of the Mexican capital

Mexico City Reforma Avenue

Ideal if you’re new to the city or pressed for time, this one-day itinerary takes you to some of the capital’s top sights while allowing for plenty of leisure time in the Historic Centre, Chapultepec Park and the hip Roma hood.

With an early 8am start, it might even be possible to squeeze in a quick trip out to the Teotihuacán pyramids, which lie about an hour away, but you’d probably have to skip the afternoon visit to Chapultepec.

Morning

Kick things off with freshly made pastries and hot chocolate at El Cardenal in the Centro Histórico. After breakfast mosey on over to the main square, aka El Zócalo, where you’ll find spectacular Diego Rivera murals inside Palacio Nacional and nearby Aztec ruins at Templo Mayor.
