Air Rarotonga

Fly between islands from Rarotonga Int'l Airport

Air Rarotonga is the domestic carrier, operating flights between the islands.

You are most likely to use Air Rarotonga if you take a 45-minute flight from Rarotonga to Aitutaki. There are regular daily flights.

Air Rarotonga also operates an Aitutaki Day Tour that includes transfers on Rarotonga, return flights, a tour of Aitutaki island, a cruise on the lagoon, use of snorkelling gear and lunch – for adult/child $599/299.50. Book on their website, though we suggest staying a few days on Aitutaki rather than taking the day trip.

Less frequent flights are available to the outer islands.

Rarotonga International Airport is in the northwest of the island, a few kilometres west of downtown Avarua.
