Dover Beach

The Gap's key beach

St Lawrence Gap’s main stretch of shoreline is Dover Beach, a lovely belt of white, powdery sand backed by hotels and restaurants.

The water can be quite lively, so the beach is popular for boogie-boarding. Boards and all sorts of other water sports equipment can be rented at Charles Water Sports, which can also organise snorkelling and other boat trips.

By bus: No buses actually enter The Gap, but the #11 ZR zips along from Bridgetown as far as Silver Sands, and can drop you/pick you up at entry points along the main road (Highway 7), a short walk away. Check the bus timetables.
