Open-air sports bar (b,l,d; $)

The “home of football” in Barbados, Wendy’s is an ever-expanding, efficiently run sports bar, with large screens under the outside gazebos and a fair few inside the bar itself, which is bedecked with football team scarves, mugs and other merchandising.

There are plenty of drinks offers when the big soccer matches and other major sporting events (cricket, Superbowl, Formula 1) are being screened: a bucket of 4–5 beers for BD$11. Tasty local pub grub is available – mac pie, plantain, ribs, and pudding and souse on Saturdays. They also serve tea and coffee, perfect for a breakfast-time match when it may seem too early to hit the drink. Friday night is karaoke night.
