Spectator Sports

Spectator sports in the Caribbean don’t come much bigger than cricket, and Barbados boasts the region’s premier cricket stadium – the Kensington Oval.

It may not be possible to time your visit to coincide with an international cricket match, but horse racing happens at the historic Garrison Savannah racecourse almost every other week and it’s a great action-packed day out.

For a more esoteric horsey experience, try and catch a polo match at one of the island’s four venues.

And if you fancy a more low-key, yet uniquely Bajan sport, check out some road tennis – a local cross between tennis and table tennis.
