Rally Barbados & Bushy Park
Three-day round-the island rally car race
A huge draw for motor enthusiasts – both competitors and spectators – Rally Barbados is the Caribbean’s biggest international motor event. It comprises three days (and one night stage) of fierce driving competition both off-road and on public roads as local drivers take on international all-comers.
Spectators congregate with their picnics at various vantage points along the route. There’s also an annual motor show.
Several low-key – but still highly popular – rally events are also hosted by the Barbados Rally Club – some race round the island’s wilder parishes whereas others involve speeding round the race track at Bushy Park, in St Philip.
