Noosa

Sunshine Coast's best-loved destination

Noosa

Perennial ‘It kid’ of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, the low-rise resort town of Noosa is famous across Australia for its exclusive yet low-key vibe, idyllic beaches and lush subtropical surrounds. The town is divided into three distinct sections: upmarket Noosa Heads (anchored by see-and-be-seen Hastings St and flanked by both Noosa Main Beach and Noosa National Park); the more casual, family-friendly Noosaville; and work-a-day Noosa Junction, the town’s main business and retail hub.

All three sections lie within the UNESCO-designated Noosa Biosphere Reserve, home to 61 distinct regional ecosystems and over 300 species of wildlife. To the north of town, the Cooloola section of Great Sandy National Park harbours one of only two everglades systems in the world.
