Noosa National Park
Subtropical wilderness by a chic beach town

Idyllic beaches, koala-speckled gum trees and frolicking dolphins grace this parcel of paradise, an easy boardwalk stroll from the centre of Sunshine Coast resort town Noosa.
Upon entering the park, grab a map (and decent coffee) from the Information Centre, which also offers updates on the day’s koala sightings.
Most visitors opt for the Coastal Trail (10.8km return), walking as far as Hell’s Gates (5.2km return) for spectacular views of Alexandria Bay. The trail passes some gorgeous beaches, including Tea Tree Bay. Bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, sunhat and plenty of water; public toilets are within walking distance of the beach.
Noosa National Park is on the Sunshine Coast in southeast Queensland, 135km north of Brisbane. The park’s main entrance is a pleasant 900m walk from central Noosa via Park Rd.
Air: Sunshine Coast Airport, 26km south of Noosa, services Virgin Australia, Jetstar, Qantas and Alliance flights to/from Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide and Cairns.
Car: From Brisbane, head north on the Bruce Hwy (M1) and switch to the Sunshine Mwy (SR70).
Bus: Greyhound Australia and Premier Motor Service run coaches between Brisbane and Noosa.
