Yanahuara

Yanahuara street

Besides the historic center of the city, around the Plaza de Armas and Santa Catalina convent, there is another neighborhood that’s worth visiting. Yanahuara has great hotels, restaurants, a beautiful plaza and mirador and it has several streets with buildings made entirely from sillar.

It’s a great place for a photographer or a person who likes to walk through narrow cobblestone streets that gleam white in any weather.

Transport: This neighborhood is about a 20 minute walk from the historic center. Just walk across Puente Grau and you’re there.
