Natural History & Antiquities under one roof (Free)

Rock Sample

Located in the north of the city among the University buildings, the Hancock was established as a purpose built natural history museum in 1884 by ornithologist John Hancock.

In 2009 the Hancock was redeveloped and merged with the Museum of Antiquities and is now very popular with families who come to see the regular exhibitions, talks and activities for children.
