The city has a host of independent shops, including clothing boutiques and design stores and supports them with pride. Don’t miss Cuba Street with it’s independent stores and shopping options.

Lambton Quay, the main business street, offers good shopping, including a number of arcades and David Jones Department Store.

Courtenay Place has good shopping as well as numerous restaurants and bars.

For NZ souvenirs, check out the Te Papa shop, while if you’re after fresh produce or groceries, head to Moore Wilson’s.
