The Cow

Popular pizza and spaghetti house (l,d; $$)

cow

Legendary pizza spot that claims to be Queenstown’s oldest continuously running restaurant and has been in its historic stone building, tucked away in Cow Lane, since 1977. It’s said that the building, only slightly modified, was originally the town’s stables, built in the 1870s.

With a slightly irreverent touch, The Cow has a picture of Queen Victoria prominently displayed and on its menus. Tough to go past the “Her Majesty’s Pleasure” or the Pepperoni pizzas. Call for take out pizza.
