Massachusetts Instiute of Technology

The Massachusetts Instiute of Technology (MIT) is at Kendall Square, which also features an enormous concentration of startups and all the cool, efficiency-focused eateries, stores, and services that cater to them.

While its reputation speaks to its importance in linear algebra and supercomputers, MIT has an excellent collection of public sculpture, art, and architecture to wander through. Try either the guided or self guided tours through the MIT List Visual Arts Center Sol LeWitt, IM Pei, and Frank Gehry’s are just a few artists with works on campus.
