Universities

New England and Universities (and Colleges) go together like arts and sciences. Four of the eight Ivy League schools call New England home: Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, and Brown. Students and researchers from around the globe gather in the region, bringing intellectual depth, activism, and creative vibrancy.
Prospective students
Attending University in New England is a fantasy for many: brick buildings covered in ivy, brilliant but eccentric professors, old libraries, secret societies, quirky customs, rooting for college sports teams, cutting edge technology, cozy dorms.
But with over 250 colleges and universities in the region, there’s actually a tremendous amount of variety and each school has its own character. Many potential students travel to New England to survey potential schools.
Many have open campuses that welcome visitors and have much to offer through their beautiful green spaces, long held collections, or their vibrant student life.
