Central Massachusetts

sturbridge village

Central Massachusetts’ towns range from some of the richest to some of the poorest in the state.

The I-90 is a quick way from east to west, while the more scenic Route 2 provides a more scenic option.

Some key stops in the area include the Worcester Art Museum, the EcoTarium, and Old Sturbridge Village.

Bookends in Northampton is a beloved indie bookstore and café. Springfield’s claim to fame is that basketball was invented here and so it houses the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

The mostly industrial town has a complex of museums: the Dr. Seuss Museum the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum, and a solidly good Science Museum with a planetarium.
