Old Sturbridge Village
Party like its 1839
Who needs a DeLorean with a flux capacitor to go back in time? Old Sturbridge Village is a living history museum that transports visitors back to rural New England in the 1830s.
Some 40 original historic homes feature shops, a working farm, and a schoolhouse, all staffed by costumed interpreters spread over the 200 acres.
Blacksmiths hammer iron, potters shape clay, and farmers tend heritage breeds. Hands-on demosntrations let the curious try it out.
The seasonal calendar brings special events like maple sugaring, antique tractor shows, and don’t even get started about Christmas.
