Southern Vermont

Lebanon, the core city of Lebanon–Claremont, which straddles New Hampshire and Vermont, acts as a gateway to Southern Vermont.
This is farming country with some open to visitors including Billings Farm & Museum and Sugarbush Farm. It’s also the location of Queechee Gorge, a dramatic cleft which local marketing materials enjoy likening to the Grand Canyon.
Locals swear on their children that the absolute best place to get Vermont’s version of a soft serve ice cream, the Creemee, is at Silloway Maple. Just over the border in New Hampshire Ice Cream Fore-U rules.
