Air travel
Boston & beyond
Logan Airport (BOS) is the region’s largest hub with domestic and international flights. It is accessible by T to Boston (see Public Transit in Boston).
While Boston Logan is New England’s busiest airport, travelers can also fly into several convenient regional airports throughout the region. These smaller airports are often less crowded and more convenient for specific parts of New England.
- Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Connecticut serves Hartford and Springfield and offers a range of domestic and limited international flights.
- T.F. Green Airport (PVD) in Providence, Rhode Island is a compact and efficient alternative for reaching coastal Massachusetts and eastern Connecticut.
- In New Hampshire, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) provides easy access to the White Mountains and central New England.
- Portland International Jetport (PWM) in Maine is a favorite for visitors heading to the southern Maine coast, while Bangor International Airport (BGR) handles traffic to Acadia National Park and northern destinations.
- Burlington International Airport (BTV) in Vermont connects travelers to the Green Mountains and Lake Champlain region.
