Leigh Bardugo’s Ninth House series takes place at academic powerhouse Yale University and Mystic’s most famous restaurant is the setting of Julia Robert’s Mystic Pizza. Mark Twain penned A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court at his home – now the Mark Twain House and Museum – in Hartford. The fictional town of iconic horror film the Stepford Wives is based on places in Fairfield County.
