Museo de El Carmen

Museum with spooky mummies

This former 17th-century Carmelite convent houses a large collection of religious artwork, frescoes, antique furnishings and a dozen well-preserved mummies encased in caskets in the building’s crypt.

Believed to be the bodies of former parishioners, they’re sure to pique your morbid curiosity.
