Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden - متحف المادن
The Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) is an independent museum housing permanent and temporary exhibitions of modern art from Morocco, its neighbours, and the rest of Africa. It's located in a resort built around the Al Maaden golf course.
As well as a gallery of paintings and photography, with a room full of installations, there’s a garden with (on a clear day) Atlas views, and a sculpture trail by the golf course. Expect to spend around an hour and a half here.
Unless you go on foot (certainly feasible, but a long walk), or have your own wheels, the best way to get to MACAAL is by cab. Your cabbie may not know it, but should know Al Maaden golf course, which is next to it.
