North Rim Campground
Campground in the pines
How about morning coffee with stunning views of the sun coming up over the canyon? The buzz is more addictive than caffeine. The campground is only a short walk to the rim. At 8,200 feet, you can expect freezing temps and even snow in late May and early June.
The 90 sites surrounded by pine-aspen forest include a tent-only area 100 feet from parking lot. Tent/RV sites have no hookups but a dump station is provided. Shower, laundry, restrooms, dump station in campground. Generator use allowed 7-9 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. The Transept and Bridal tails lead to viewpoints and the lodge. Reservations required, advisable at least 6 months in advance. The late arrival telephone number is (928) 638-7814.
