Accommodations
From 4-star hotels to RV and tent camping, the Grand Canyon has a great range of accommodations both on the north and south rims and in nearby communities.
Location
South Rim: If you want the action on your doorstep, plan in advance and book a motel on the one of the rims. The South Rim offers the deluxe El Tovar Hotel, a range of motels, rim-side cabins, Trailer Village (RV) and Mather Campground (tent) in the South Rim Village, and at RV/tent camping at Desert View. If you don't mind a short commute, nearby Tusayan, at the park entrance, offers a wide selection of chain and stand-alone motels and resorts, and private and USFS RV/tent campgrounds.
North Rim: The less-visited side of the canyon has the historic Grand Canyon Lodge with cabins and a campground. More distant lodging includes Kaibab Lodge, 18 miles from the North Rim entrance, and Jacob's Lake Inn and campground, 45 miles away. The USFS DeMotte Campground is nestled in the forest 6 miles from the park entrance.
