Leave the car in Tusayan and save gas and parking headaches. Operating March 1–September 30, the National Park runs a free shuttle between Tusayan and the South Rim Visitors Center with stops at National Geographic Visitor Center/R.P.’s Stage Stop, Best Western Squire Inn, Grand Hotel, Big E Grand Canyon Steakhouse.

Then take the Rim Shuttle to the viewpoints, rent a bike, or hike the trails.

The 40-minute, round trip runs every 20 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. between March 1 and September 30. Note: A park entrance pass or an America the Beautiful National Park pass is required to board the bus.

The first bus leaves the IMAX parking lot in Tusayan at 8 a.m.; the last at 9:05 p.m. The first bus leaves Grand Canyon Visitor Center at 8:25 am; the last at 9:30 pm. Parking available at the Tusayan bus stops.
