Whitehorse Lake Campground
USFS campground
Camping, hiking, fishing
With a small, scenic lake surrounded by ponderosa forest, this popular campground offers a quiet escape minutes from the downtown Williams Rt. 66 crowd. Trails follow the lake shore and lead to Sycamore Canyon Vista. Sites come with table, fire ring, water nearby, tent pads, but no hookups, dump station $10, and can accommodate trailers and motor homes up to 38 ft. long. Dogtown Lake Campground is nearby. The nearby Cataract Lake is now day-use only, no camping.
From Williams, go south on 4th St. (FR 173, Perkinsville Road) for 9 miles to FR 110; turn left onto FR 110 and go about 7 mi.; turn left on FR 109 for 3 miles to campground entrance. Forest Roads 110 and 109 are high-use roads and can become rough during peak season. During the winter, roads may be closed due to snow.
