Desert View Campground

East side campground

Located at the east park entrance 26 miles from the South Rim Village, this much quieter spot has 50 sites sized for tents and small RVs (30-foot max), no utilities, water faucets nearby, flush bathrooms, no showers, no hot water, no reservations. Each site has a campfire grill and picnic table.

Get your supplies from the General Store at nearby Desert View. Don’t miss some of the best vistas of the canyon along Desert View Drive. Instead of looking across the chasm, the views look down the length of the scenic gorge. This first-come, first-serve campground usually fills by early afternoon.
