Winter: Dec, Jan & Feb

Dunster by Candlelight

Colder, calmer, quieter – in winter Devon and Cornwall recharge.

Some attractions remain closed, accommodation prices are at their cheapest and the weather tends to be at its worst.

But you’ll find uncrowded beaches, warm fires in pubs and plenty of local celebrations. You also get the biggest surf of the year – fun to watch even if you don’t go in.

December

Dunster by Candlelight Lanterns light up an enchanting Exmoor town

Christmas Lights Each community does them – the ones at Mousehole are some of the best

January

February
