Do The Big Crop Over Weekend

An unforgettable test of party stamina

Barbados Crop Over

Making the most of the Big Crop Over Weekend – and surviving! – requires stamina, planning, creativity, money and the ability to let yourself go!

Friday evening

Line your stomach with an early dinner at your hotel or a nearby – check our Restaurant listings – or even at Oistins fish fry before heading for the National Botanical Gardens for the thrilling Pic-O-De-Crop calypso finals (from 8pm).

Head straight from here into Central Bridgetown to meet your band, register and paint your face (and any other body parts you fancy) for the Foreday Morning Jam bacchanal. Or roll up later to watch!

Friday night–Saturday morning

The Foreday Morning Jam or jump-up starts around 1am, when partying revellers daubed in paint and mud start “chippin’” through Bridgetown to converge on the Mighty Grynner Highway, usually finishing on the beach and in the sea after sunrise, in time for breakfast. Rascals is a popular venue.
