Consett Bay

Traditional fishing village

The fish market and jetty protruding into the sea are at the heart of Consett Bay. Tucked away at the southern end of St John, it’s the parish’s main fishing port. Untainted by tourism, there’s little to do besides watch the fisherfolk at work, landing and cleaning their catch, or take a stroll along the beach.

Those with more energy should consider hiking northwards to Bath Beach, along a dirt track that offers some fine sea views.
