The Boatyard

Partying at Sharkey's Bar

A bar with benefits, Sharkey’s Bar sits on the sugary soft sands of Carlisle Bay at The Boatyard. It is THE daytime party bar, with happy hours aplenty, lethal cocktails and drinking contests too.

The BD$70 entry – mostly redeemable against food and drink – covers use of all their facilities. These include sun-loungers and umbrellas, a rope swing, and water toys such as trampolines and a giant slide, in a sheltered swimming area. Also in the deal is a short boat trip into the bay to snorkel and swim with turtles – if they haven’t scarpered.

When a cruise ship is in the port, it can be manic and hard to see the sand, but at other times, the vibe is relaxed, and it’s a fun spot for teenage kids too.

Note: Cruise ship passengers get a special deal (BD$25) including transport to and from the terminal.
