DreadHop Brewing

Craft beer (l,d; $)

OK, so this microbrewery is not on the beach, but in an industrial estate. Still, it has the beach vibe, and for craft beer enthusiasts, its tap room shouldn’t be missed.

Nine brews are on offer, with suitably Bajan names. Most are 4.5% ales but the Sam Lord’s Smoked Porter and the Mahogany Bay Stout are darker heavy-duty (7%) beers. Get a “flight” (tasting board) of any four for BD$10, and watch out on their Facebook page for beer and food deals. The bar menu is really good value – filling soups, burgers, crispy samosas and steak and ale pies made with their own red ale, all for BD$30 or under.

With pop-up events, such as quizzes, drinking competitions, live music, and soccer nights on the big screen, there’s always something going on.
